St. Madeleine Sophie Family & Friends,

Welcome to the St. Madeleine Sophie Auction Website. Please mark your calendars for Saturday, March 24th and join us for a fun filled evening at Lights!Camera!Auction!

The Auction is St. Madeleine Sophie’s largest annual fundraiser. Proceeds from the Auction go directly to the ongoing operation of our parish and school communities.

There are many ways to support our event. You can donate an item or cash, or be an auction sponsor or advertise in our catalog. We want to thank you in advance for contributing in whatever way you can.

This is a wonderful time for our entire community to share our gifts and talents. Whether it is through procuring or donating items, organizing or sponsoring a table, advertising in the auction catalog, or sharing your time through volunteering, we appreciate your support!

We are excited about Lights!Camera!Auction! 2012 and we look forward to working with you!

Procurement
Procurement begins now! Our community depends on you to procure or donate great items to make our auction a success.

Can you, or someone you know, donate (an) item(s)?

Put a package together with a friend. Remember, creativity really sells!

A Note to Microsoft Employees:

Past history shows that Microsoft software (other than games) does not sell well. You might consider a cash donation instead, which Microsoft will match dollar for dollar.

Donate:

To donate an item to our auction this year, simply click on the donate button and fill out the form. For tangible items please print, attach to your item and drop off at the school office. If you’d prefer to manually complete the procurement form, please follow the links under the Forms menu.

Contact Holly King or Courtney Voorhees if you have any questions or need additional information.

Parties
Parties, Parties, Parties!

Parties are great themed social events. Get together with old friends and make new ones!

Parties are sold to a limited number of people at a set price. No bidding involved! Sign up before the auction to hold your space. Sign ups will also be held on auction night, based on availability.

Raffle Tickets
Raffle Tickets are here for the 2012 Lights!Camera!Auction!

What is the Auction Raffle all about?

The Raffle is a fun and easy way to raise money for our school. Enclosed are two ticket booklets for each student. This is a total of 20 tickets per student to sell for a $3 donation each, to friends and family, or to buy yourself (cash or checks only). The drawings will be held at the Auction on March 24th. You do not need to be present to win.

Raffle Prizes are cash as follows:

First Prize: $1000
Second Prize: $750
Third Prize: $500

Great tips for getting your books of tickets sold with ease:

Tickets are here before Christmas for you to take along on Holiday travels and visiting friends & family!
When approaching friends and family, you can remind them that it’s a tax-deductible contribution, and that you greatly appreciate their help in raising money for St. Mad’s!
If soliciting is not for you, consider buying the tickets for your family. Who doesn’t want to win cash?
Be sure to have each buyer fill out their ticket stub with their name and telephone number.
Students must remember to put their full name on the ticket stub as the seller in order to get credit for their sales for the school contests.

Student rewards and prizes:

Individual students compete for prizes for the most tickets sold. Extra ticket books are available in the school office for students who want to sell more than their two books of tickets.

There are three student/class contests:

The student in the upper grades (4th-8th) that sells the most tickets will win a $50 Bellevue Square Gift Card (note- a minimum of 40 tickets must be sold).
The student in the lower grades (preK-3rd) that sells the most tickets will win a $50 Toys R Us gift card (also with a minimum of 40 tickets being sold).
All classes that meet their total sales goal will be awarded a dessert party. (Meaning-if there are 10 students in a classroom and at least 20 ticket books sold among that class, they will then meet their $600 sales goal).

All ticket stubs, sales proceeds and unsold tickets must be returned no later than Friday, March 9th. These items can be submitted to the school office, parish office or into the weekly mass collection baskets. All returned items should be placed in an envelope marked “Auction Raffle”. Please turn in ticket book stubs and sale proceeds as they are sold – do not wait until the last minute! All unsold tickets must be turned in for accounting as well, as per our Washington State Gambling Commission License Requirements.

Thank you for all of your support and making this year’s auction the best yet!

Any questions – please contact MK Barac: (425)681-6366.

Corporate Matching Gifts
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. Check with your company’s Human Resources Department to determine if they have a matching gift policy. The impact of your gift to the St. Madeleine Sophie Auction may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.

Here’s information on matching gifts for the two largest employers in our area:

Boeing:

Boeing Company will match, dollar for dollar, from $25 to $6,000 per year to all full time, part time and retired employees, spouses of employees and board of directors. Complete the form and send it with your gift to Auction Committee, St. Madeleine Sophie. We’ll handle the rest. The form is available in the SMS Parish office.

Microsoft:

If you’ve been a domestic employee at Microsoft for at least six months, you’re eligible for the Microsoft Matching Gifts Program. Interns, co-ops, temporaries, vendors, and contractors are not eligible for this program.
Dollar for dollar, Microsoft will match up to $12,000 per calendar year in contributions you make to United Way or other funding federations, eligible charitable organizations, or educational institutions. Microsoft will match gifts of cash, personal checks, credit cards, securities with a quoted market value, or Microsoft products. Eligible employees must make contributions of personal gifts of $25 or more. The contribution must be actually paid, not pledged, and gifts must have been made within the last 12 months to qualify for a matching gift. Within Microsoft corpnet, complete your matching gift request through the Online Employee Matching Gift Tool located at: http://give.
